New NICEIC Cert Software, Say What?!

We have something to tell you! We’ve been keeping it from you for a while, it’s been hard, but we’re ready to share all…a new NICEIC Cert Software is on its way!

For the last year, we have been busy working on the revamped NICEIC Cert Software package. The desktop software, the Android and iOS apps have a fresh new user interface, new features and have all been re-written from scratch. The new NICEIC electrical certificate software has loads of new fancy features in it that we know you’re going to love.

We picked our favourite four for you…

18th Edition Ready

Every cert type, ELECSA and NICEIC will be available on all devices – PC, laptop. tablet and smartphone (iOS and Android).

Improved Form Fill

You will be able to view and edit multiple certs at the same time, as you can have more than one window open at a time.

We’ve also added a ‘zoom’ function allowing you to zoom in and out of the section you are working on… no more squinting!

Distribution Boards – Shared Working

NICEIC Cert Software will now enable multiple electricians to work on different distribution boards for the same job, the Qualified Supervisor will then be able to apply those boards to a single cert within the new board library section.

New User Interface

We’ve had a complete update of how NICEIC Cert Software looks. It has a fresh new look and feel, it’s modern, easier to navigate, less cluttered and well… we think it looks incredible!
We also looked in depth at how you used the software, and we’ve improved the user experience. Actions to complete tasks have been simplified hugely so the software will be easier to use than it is now.

As usual with any code, we can pick up bugs before the release date when we are testing which we will then need to fix so we have no ETA for you at the moment.

The best bit for you though, is that if you have an NICEIC Update Subscription you’ll get the new software for free! We’ll be back soon with more news, features and screenshots – watch this space and let us know what you think!

  1. Will there be a user guide, I ask as I’ve had the software for 5yrs now and never really used all the features or know quite how they work.
An online video manual that is accessible anytime for subscribers?

    1. Hi Martin – yes, there will be loads of support articles and videos on our website showing you how to use the new NICEIC Cert Software when it’s released!

    1. Hi Carl – it doesn’t work on an Apple Mac without Parallels or similar installed, it will work on iOS devices like iPads.

    1. Hi Jon – thanks! We don’t have a cloud option I’m afraid, but you can work offline without 3G/4G/Wifi with the apps on either Android or iOS.

  2. Great news!!!!!

Will the Distribution Board Designer be from a TP&N supply instead of only a SP&N. My customers also complain about the read quality of the printed version in portrait or landscape.

Looking forward to the new improved version.

    1. Update! We hope to have a TP&N (three phase) options in the distribution designer, however, this may not be upon first release the print out quality will also be improved/redone

  4. Nice to see that you have spent a lot of time updating software, and I have seen that you have every Niceic certificate available according to your email. Unfortunately as I am an electrical contractor with in the hazardous area scheme of the Niceic I am
unable to purchase filling station certs for click software ,extremely disappointed.

    1. Hi Maurice – We have asked NICEIC about the hazardous area certs and we’re currently waiting on a reply from them, will let you know as soon as we have more info.

  5. Will the new software be able to automatically download the uploaded certs from the engineers on site, or is there a way to schedule the download from the cloud servers option?

    1. Update! – yes, there will be a scheduled sync option which will periodically download certs from the ‘Cloud’
